“We have never heard…”

Multiple times, the team set up to perform their drama today and share the good news about Jesus. I was sitting on a an old pipe watching teams as they went out to minister when a small group of boys came to me and asked for another booklet. (We are handing out booklets filled with Scripture and a presentation of the gospel in the local language.) I didn’t have one but began to engage with him and his friends about why they wanted one. Mohammad, the eldest boy looked me in the eyes and said, ” This is a very special book because it tells of Jesus and we have never heard or seen anything about Him before!” As he spoke, I knew- God was here, and He was drawing these young seekers to himself. Mohomad began introducing his friends Elijah, Joseph, another Mohammad and so on. … instantly, I began sharing the gospel and explaining who and why Jesus came and how they could have a relationship with God through Him. It was beautiful! All six boys surrendered their hearts to Jesus as I sat on an old dirty pipe on a side road from the busiest market in their community. I know they did not come to the market looking for new life, but Jesus had decided that today, their greatest need wasn’t more eggs or spice, but a new life in Him! I love seeing Jesus work!

Who are you talking to today that may be looking for one thing–but God is setting it up for you to share Jesus with them? #jesushasdecided #awestar#usherHimback

  • Daddy and Mama Stahl says:

Praising Jesus at 1:45 am in Kansas City! Praising Him for those who have received a new name! Praising Him for setting up divine appointments! Praising Him that each of you are a part of someone’s divine appointment.

We are praying for each of you to have a deep desire that cannot be satisfied to share Christ beyond your exhaustion. We are praying that your daily strength comes from the joy of the Lord and is not determined or deterred by exhaustion. We are praying that You have tasted and seen that the Lord is indeed so so good and because of that your passion for Christ will burn deep within you so that it cannot be blown out. Love you all, Team Gambia!

If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you, no plague will come near your home. For He will order His angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot. You will trample on lions and cobras! You will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet! Psalm 91:6-13
