They will know that we are Christians…

kingdom of god

Today, we went to a suburb of Panama City where many Kuna Indians live. On the trip in we passed numerous landfills, but when we got there, it was a village surrounded by beautiful tree-covered hills. The local police were very kind and helpful to us, and they were excited we were bringing the good news to their town. We realized we had entered a dark town and saw how the enemy is actively attempting to blind the hearts of people here in Panama. He attempted to keep us from presenting the light through fatigue in our team.

Our bus driver, Julio, pointed out to Meagann that he saw the enemy attacking us and the translators. However, we kept battling, performed the drama, and shared the gospel! God’s power was made perfect in our weakness. We are totally reliant upon God; apart from Him we can do nothing. By His grace, we were able to go and tell people about Christ. To the praise of His glory, people came to Christ! We couldn’t help but to sing, “Our God is greater, our God is stronger! God, You are higher than any other! Our God is healer, awesome in power, our God, our God!”

After returning to our wonderful mission house for lunch and a little siesta, we continued the day walking to the busy street of Cinco De Mayo for some prayerwalking and street evangelism. As our ministry teams were prayerwalking, many of them were led to speak with people who were sitting or walking by the many stores on Cinco De Mayo. As one ministry team was speaking with a man sitting on a bench, a pigeon flew overhead and dropped a present onto two of the people in the ministry team. Later, we would laugh about this, but in the moment they kept their cool and continued sharing their faith. Because our team has a heartbeat of obedience, there are new believers in the Kingdom of God today!

We ate another amazing meal prepared by Tia Mirna. She is an outstanding cook! We are being very well fed. After dinner, we worshiped through song and got into the Word. God moved among us and stirred us to pray for one another. This was followed by a very special time. The men of the team washed the feet of all the women of the team. It showed their servant hearts and impacted the women.  We want to thank you so much for praying for our team’s unity. God is bringing it about in a great and powerful way!

Please pray for:
-Continued good health and among our translators
-Continued unity within the team
-The people who trusted Christ as Savior today
-That God would continue to give us divine encounters
-And most of all, that God would receive all the glory!

To God alone be the glory!
