Gamboa Trip!

Hello everyone,

On Sunday we had an amazing time of worship at La Comunidad Bible Church before leaving for Gamboa! Gamboa is only a 20 minute bus ride and 5 minute boat ride from Panama City, but it feels like you are stepping into a different world. The Embera people are so welcoming and instantly made us feel part of their community!

After we arrived and set up our mosquito nets, sleeping bags, and hammocks, we enjoyed another wonderful meal prepared by Mirna. Then we gathered with our flash lights and Bibles to have a time of signing and worshiping with the believers in the village. Even though we come from two different worlds, we all have a love for Christ that brings us together.

On Monday we woke up early to many different jungle sounds, but the Lord gave us energy to start the day! The Pastor of the village wanted to treat us to a trip to a waterfall before we started drama ministry. The beauty of Panama never stops amazing us. It constantly reminds us of how wonderful our God is!

Gamboa consists of 3 small villages and we got to perform the Drama in each one. Many of the people who watched are already being discipled by the Pastor and we were able to pray and encourage many of them. One man who came asked us to pray for him because he has been running fever and has very sore legs. We lifted him up to the Lord and we know that God has all authority. In fact Walker was able to preach that night in the village about God’s authority over all things. It was evident that the Lord spoke through Walker that night and touched many people’s lives.

After spending time worshiping and bonding with the Embera people, it was hard to leave this morning. However, we will be praying for them often and we ask you to join as well!

Thank you for all of your prayer support for the last two weeks, you all were very important in the Lords work here! We have many more stories to share with you when we return home. We will be leaving tomorrow morning and should arrive in Dallas around 9:00pm. We look forward to seeing you soon!
