Today was the day of salvation! Our hearts are so full from all the Lord did today! Thank you for your prayers! Keep them coming!
Team Freedom spent the morning in two plazas. The students engaged with people around and crowds started to form. One of our ministry teams talked with Rosey. When they first approached Rosey there was another woman beside her. As the group started explaining the drama and the gospel, the other woman stood up, shook her head, and said “No!”. Rosey stayed, she was yearning for more. She is a believer and the team was able to encouraged her greatly. We were able to connect her with the church and now she will be able to grow with the body of Christ!
This afternoon Team Freedom was able to share the gospel at a middle school. God showed up! 200 students heard the greatest story ever told. The team showered those students with His love and His name was made great. Then we presented the drama at another plaza where many came to know Him! It was at this plaza where Chad challenged the students to give a spit. Jesus gave a spit for the blind man. He calls each and every one of us to get out of our pew and not be a sittite, but a spittite. Ask your student when they get home about this teaching, it’s powerful stuff! We finished our day of drama ministry and a large park where many new brothers and sisters in Christ were welcomed into the family. What a glorious Savior we serve!
Team Victory was also able to go to a middle school to share the Gospel. Our students enjoyed engaging with the students as the Freedom Drama was presented and an opportunity to visit with them afterwards provided a great boost of encouragement to them.
One of the highlights for both teams is partnering with the locals who serve alongside us as missionaries. They have been a great source of encouragement as they have faithfully stood by our side in sharing the Gospel. We had an opportunity to hear their stories and their life in Nuevo Laredo. It has been an honor to serve alongside these men and women of God who love their country so much that they are willing to go themselves and make disciples of Jesus in Nuevo Laredo.
During the second drama for TeamVictory, one of the teams walked to a couple of guys at a taco cart at the flea market. They shared their testimony and was presented the Gospel. Their response was that they did not have a relationship with Jesus. Many in this culture have a relationship with God, yet do not have a relationship with Jesus. In these opportunities, we bring the Word through John 14:6 when Jesus says, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father except through me.” As the Gospel was shared, one of the men responded with tears in his eyes that he wanted to invite Jesus into his life. What began as a taco stop for these two men, became an opportunity for them to meet the Bread of Life.
Family and friends, what an amazing group of young adults you have serving here in Nuevo Laredo. The challenge has been great, but they have met the challenge with great enthusiasm and eagerness so that all may know that Jesus is Lord. Please continue to pray for us. Pray for divine encounters tomorrow as we do more Jesus ministry.
