Bittersweet Goodbyes to Huanuco

View All Images from Peru 2017

Today we started out our last day of drama ministry here in Peru. The girls kicked off our last morning here by cooking the boys a delicious breakfast of “sublime” pancakes and chocolate milk! Following breakfast, we performed the drama one last time in the local market. It was one of the best dramas we have done. New people came to know the Lord, and people we had already met stopped by to say hello! It was bittersweet, as we performed the drama in this place which has come to feel like home. Every day, we met new people regardless if it was a site where we had ministered before or not. God has done so much here in Huanuco, and as we say goodbye to Dolly and the church, we can see the work that will go ahead of us through them. What an honor and inspiration it has been to lock arms with them as we have been here in Peru. Their joy has never once ceased as they relentlessly work for the kingdom reaching the people of Huanuco.

After another drama in the main plaza, we ended the night with celebrating the birthday of one of the children we have met through Dolly. Her ministry is to reach the children of Huanuco who come from especially difficult home situations. It was so sweet to be able to love on them and see the giant smiles on their faces.

As we pack up to leave for Lima, we are sad to be leaving these beautiful people. The memories we have made here will forever be treasured in our hearts.

We will be driving to Lima tonight and arrive in the morning. Please be praying as we travel tonight.

Your Country Coordinators,

Steen & Rebecca
